RecreationKillarney Lake is the heart of the community and is the focus for many of the activities throughout the year. Located on the edge of town, it is a popular resort attracting thousands of vacationers to cottages and campgrounds every summer. Swimming and fishing facilities are located in Erin Park on the east shore of the lake. A well-maintained change house with showers is available at the designated swimming area. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the season and instructors offer a complete swimming lesson rogram. In the summer children of all ages can participate in the lakeshore day camp run by the recreation commission.

RecreationIf you’re looking for a quiet spot to enjoy the view, Killarney’s new Centennial Park located along the lake’s bay is a terrific location to watch the pelicans in season or enjoy the brilliant shades of turning leaves in the fall Killarney Lake is a popular destination for campers. Kerry Park, located on the north side of the lake, boasts more than 100 serviced sites, boat launching and docking facilities with showers and washrooms. A short walk across the street from the main beach is the Killarney Agricultural Campgrounds, a great spot for those who want to camp close to the beach. Killarney Lake is the centre of attention all year long. In the winter months it is a popular attraction for ice fishing and skating.

Just 30 km from Killarney, the Turtle Mountain Provincial Park offers a wealth of summer and winter outdoor activities including a toboggan run, outdoor skating rinks, hiking trails, swimming areas, camping and miles of groomed cross country ski trails.
